- am i still at less that 300 posts? maybe i should do a few memes to up the count.
- so, i got the iPod and... well, i'm not excited about having it. it's very cute and it's nice having all my music at my fingertips, but if i didn't have it anymore, i'd be cool. soo... it may be going back to the store in a few days. that's $200+ i could save.
- i'll be really happy when my aunt gets a car of her own. she doesn't need or ask me to do many things for her, so that's not the issue. the issue is that i hate to see her dependent on other people to get basic stuff done like going to work, getting her hair done, etc. it wouldn't bother me so much if we lived in say, NYC or something. but, no, we live in Houston, TX, which essentially has no public transportation system. really, though, my aunt's been struggling for a while now and it hurts my heart something terrible to watch her go through the things that she does. it's my continual prayer that things turn around for her.
- on the real, i think watching my mom and aunt struggle in so many areas for so long changed my faith. seeing two women who are very faithful, spiritual, and good to so many people struggle repeatedly... i don't know, i guess it just made me question God a lot more. i still believe in God, i just question His decisions a lot more.
- uhm, adding a verse to the beginning of a song while keep the original beat of the song ≠ a remix. (i.e. "Ego" with Beyonce and Kanye) that being said, i like his verse; it's funny to me. but then again i love Kanye, so that may not be saying too much.
- i just found out that at&t offers internet service without the phone. i wonder how long they've offered it. i've had service for almost a year, and each and every month, i'm annoyed at paying for phone service i don't use. so, i went ahead and had the phone service disconnected. when i called to make the change, the lady told me that since i was cancelling the phone service, i'd be losing the $10 discount on Internet, but that she could take $5 off. Little did she know i knew the $5 off price was the price on at&t site for everyone. i just let her believe i thought she was doing me some favor.
- why am i just now getting put on to the hilarity that is The Office?
- i sent my father a Father's Day card. it's the first one i can recall sending him. it did take me a while to find the right one. i couldn't go with any of that said "you've always been my hero" or "thanks for always being there." so, i went with one that basically said "Happy Father's Day!" i didn't really know what else to say. *shrug*
- While doing this job search, there's a part of me that wishes i could just go to school and not have to worry so much about working too. but, that is not my life. so, i'll continue sending resumes and cover letters until something comes through.
- My computer's been having problems with video playback lately. it's a buffering issue (that much I know) and it doesn't happen all the time. given how consistently inconsistent my internet service is, i'm thinking that's the cause of the problem.
- well, i've added another trip to my list for July: a week in Tulsa. i still don't quite know how i'm going to fit in my jaunts, pack up my apartment, find an apartment, and move by the end of the month. but, i'll make a way.
- i love how my digital converter box just shuts itself off from time to time, with no apparent rhyme or reason. i guess that's it's little way to let me know i've been watching too much television!
- i wonder why people update their FB statuses to say things like, "I'm on the grind doing blah, blah, blah, and will be MIA for a while." YET, they still update everyday. uhm, i thought MIA meant missing in action completely. Some people are just attention whores.
- a friend of mine is... how shall i say... frugal. in this economic climate, i can understand it. but, you know... i feel like you can't go the cheap route with everything, especially when you have a job that pays you well.
- my new favorite song: Every Girl. I know i don't have any business singing loudly "i wish i could fuck every girl in the world." uhm, no, i don't. but, it's catchy! i don't know why i have an affinity for the little hood songs. i blame it on my time in ATL. you can't live in that city for 6 years and not like the hood songs (at least a little bit).
- my passport came today! yay! exactly one month from today, i'll be on a plane headed to Amsterdam!

You can hit 300 posts, I believe in you! Want some Mexican M&Ms? ;o)
Well in the iPod's defense you did say it was a want and not a need. So if it was gone, of course, you'd be okay well other than wasting the $200+ and all the music that vanished with it.
I only recently heard about Houston's woeful lack of public transportation. As big as that city is I'm guessing a lot of people work, socialize, and pretty much do everything near home if they don't have a car.
What's worse is when companies assume you don't know about web specials and don't offer them to you and try to play the fool when you mention it. "$5 off? Where did you see this offer? I've never heard about it. It must've been a limited time offer or a regional thing."
Make sure you have the latest codecs and updates for whatever video player you use. Otherwise the site could have a lot of people trying to watch the same video or it could be your Internet.
I wanna go! You never take your BH anywhere. *pouts and looks pathetic*
I don't really know what people do on FB but maybe they just mean that they won't be doing all of that other stuff and will just be updating their status. I don't know.
yeah, i'll get there. it's more a matter of how long it will take me to do so.
i see your point. however, i think about the fact that my BB is an upgrade, but also a want and not a need. however, if i was without it, i'd be devastated.
usually i purchase directly from the site to avoid that silliness. but, with this, i wanted to make sure it was done right. but, yes, it is annoying when they assume you're not an informed customer. however, the fact that they try and play that game means it's been working...
yeah, i usually don't watch it with a video player. typically i'm trying to watch a t.v. show or video, directly from the site. it's so touch and go, i try not to get excited about watching whatever, just in case it's acting up.
uhm, where have you taken your BW? ....EXACTLY! :-P
So long IPOD!
Maybe you can convince your aunt to get a nice used vehicle to get her around town. I was having similar thoughts about a coworker who 8 times out of 10 asks me if I could drop her somewhere after work on the days I work with her. The last time I was like, don't you want to have your own way to handle your biz?
BB is watching TV, WOW! I still won't convert! I refuse! LOL!
I finally looked up Drake to see what he looks like and he looks nothing like he sounds!
You did great getting your dad something this past weekend! Mine got nathan from me.
well, so long to the Nano. I traded it in for the Touch, which is awesome!
the issue isn't that she doesn't want her own transportation because she wants that very much. it's the fact of not having the finances to do so is what bothers me.
yeah, i've been watching it for a while. :-(
Ahhhh I see. Sometimes if you shift through the BS in craigslist's auto section you can find decent cars really cheap. Just an idea.
My coworker just asked me about giving her a ride and I thought about my comment from earlier and had to come back and share! LOL!
I think I'm right at 300 posts myself. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....
I always fuss about not having a suitable form of public transportation. Yeah they have buses in LR but what about the commuting public from out of town. We want cheap rides too! lol They will probably start developing it once it's time for me to retire...whenever the hell that will be.
I hope your Aunt is able to find a solution soon to her car woes. At least she's not asking you to take her to Bingo. lol
lol @ your Father's Day card. Hey it is what it is. At least he got the card, for that he should be happy.
Amsterdam?! That's what's up!
@Ladynay: i'll tell my aunt about Craigslist.
@AR Gal: i've been blogging for over 3 years now, and while i don't blog nearly as much as i did in the beginning, i should be past 300.
LOL @ taking her to Bingo. nah, that would be my grandmother! ;-)
i thought the same thing about the Father's Day card. i guess it kinda bothered me because getting basic, run of the mill, cards is NOT my style at all. but, like, you said, it is what it is...
yeah, girl, my 1st international trip and that's where i get to go! :-D
