A half eaten apple on my desk.

2. Have you ever cheated in a relationship?
i haven't been in a lot of relationships, but i've never cheated.

3. Last thing to make you angry?
i can't really remember. i'm more prone to being disappointed and annoyed.


4. Are you a fan of romance?
i think it's pretty cool, and it always makes me feel all fluttery and flustered when i receive a romantic gesture. however, the cynic in me always wonders if romance is not some sort of game being run. but, overall, i do like; that's something i've just been able to admit to myself.

5. Have you ever been in love?
never been in love before. maybe one day soon...

6. Do you have a temper?
not, really. everyone who knows me comments on how "chill" i am. which is true, but from time to tome, when i'm already annoyed and someone does something that pisses me off, well, let's just say i'm not a plesant person to be around. i don't yell and whatnot, but i make plenty of cutting remarks.

One of my coworkers has a green stuffed frog on her desk. (She's an AKA)

2. Do you care about the environment?
yes, but i'm not zealous about it or even really political. i think that we do need to take care of it for future generations.

3. Are you jealous of anyone right now?
jealous? no. i'm rarely jealous of people. i don't see the point in it.


4. Are you a lucky person?
i don't believe in luck. i consider myself to be blessed.


5. Do you always want what you can't have?
i think i want what i can have, but only in due season. like, i'd like to have a career that pays well. i'll have it one day, just not now. so, uhm, i guess the answer is yes. oh, and thanks to Ladynay for reminding me i didn't answer this the 1st time around.


6. Do you like being outdoors?
not really. this was a big point of contention between Mr. NRN now and i. i like being inside and while i appreciate naure and all her glory, i don't feel the need to immerse myself in it.

No.

1. Last purple thing you saw?
A purple top that I washed a few days ago.

2. Like being treated to expensive things?
it's nice to get them from time to time. however, a part of me always feel a little indebted when i get really nice things from people.

3. Do you like mysterious things?
i love shows like CSI, Without a Trace (does that still come on?), and Cold Case where they are trying to figure something out. i like putting together pieces of a puzzle and coming to a conclusion. i used to watch Unsolved Mysteries, and i'd get all excited when there was an Update to the case. so, i guess you could say i like mysteries that have been solved or are solvable.


4. Favorite type of chocolate?
i like milk chocolate the best. i hate dark chocolate, just because it's not sweet enough. some say that more "refined" people prefer milk over dark chocolate. hmmm... i don't think i buy into that. (for obvious reasons!)

5. Ever met anyone in royalty?
no, but i sometimes told a guy i used to date that i was a queen and a princess. lol... so, i guess i could say yes, still i know myself.


6. Are you creative?
not really. this blog is about as creative as i get, and really all i'm doing is rambling about my so-called life.


7. Are you lonely?
as much as i try to act like i'm not, i do get lonely from time to time.

2. The happiest time[s] of your life?
i'd have to say high school and college were some of the happiest times. i had great friends, did a lot of cool things and life was just less complicated.


3. Favorite holiday?
well, save for this past one, i'd say Thanksgiving. i like all the food and eating, but i also like the fact that it's not all commercialized and to me, it's a less stressful holiday. you're not worrying about gifts and making sure the tree is up and all that other stuff. instead, it's about spending time as a family. some of my best memories of the family are from Thanksgiving.


4. Are you a coward?
no, but i can't really think of a time we're i've had to be brave. then again, i just do what needs to be done and don't really allow myself to think about how brave (or not) it is.

5. Do you burn or tan?
I tan. i love when the summer rolls around so i can get darker. i'd love to be chocolate colored...

6. Do you want children?
yep, i want like 10 of them! lol... just kidding. i think i'd be happy with 1-3 kids. somehow my BBD "convinced" me to have 4 blogger babies. i will not be repeating that in real life. ;-)


7. What makes you feel warm and safe?
being in my aunt's presence. even when the shit's hitting or about to hit the fan, she can convince me, at least for a moment that all is right in the world and that things will work out.

Some file folders on my desk.

2. Are you good at calming people down?
yes. i have a calm personality and i don't easily show when i'm scared, nervous or flustered. i think people feed off of that.

3. Do you like the sea?
i used to live 5 minutes from a beach, and it was overrrated. it just got cold very quickly. but, looking at the sea is nice and can be relaxing. i don't like to get in it (at least not too deep) since i don't know how to swim.

4. What was the last thing to make you cry?
well, it wasn't one thing that made me cry. it was just a culmination of things over the past few weeks or so that just became too much. i talked about that at length a few posts ago.

5. Are you a logical thinker?
yeah, but not to a fault. however, people always say they can count on me to make a wise and well though out choice. i just don't like having to do clean up later on.

6. Can you sleep easily?
as long as my feet are warm, sleep comes easily. now, the real question is my sleep truly restful? i'd have to say probably not, because i usually feel pretty tired the next day. also, when a lot of stuff is on mind, like right now, i wake up in the night or i wake up a lot earlier than i intended because i'm thinking, trying to figure it all out.


7. Do you prefer the beach or the woods?
i'd have to say the beach. the woods is a little scary. i don't have the best sense of direction, so i'm afraid i'd get lost in the woods, and God knows i don't know how to fend for myself in the wilderness.

the top of my highlighter is pink.

2. Do you like sweet things?
i used to have a major sweet tooth, esp. in college. for some reason i don't have the taste so much anymore. but, i will indulge from time to time.

3. Like play-fighting?
play verbal fighting can be kinda fun, as long as there's still a little humor thrown in so both people know it's all in fun. now, play physical fighting is never fun. that shit can get dangerous really quickly.

4. Are you sensitive?
yeah, even though i won't let on that i am. however, i'm not overly sensitive. i leave that to my sister.

5. Do you like punk music?
no, i don't.


6. What is your favorite flower?
i don't have a favorite.

7. Does someone have a crush on you?
i know of only one person who has a crush on me. when he shared that with me, it made me blush. i'm actually not sure he still has the crush, but i'm sure it will pass at some point.

my shirt is a burnt orange color.

2. Do you like to burn things?
uhm, no. i'm actually quite afraid of fire. i have 2 candles at my apt. and it took me forever to get over using a lighter to light them!

3. Dress up for Halloween?
nope, never have and i don't really think i will any time in the near or distant future. we didn't really celebrate it as a kid and i don't see what the big deal is now.

4. Are you usually a warm-hearted person?
other people seem to think so. that's not to say that i don't agree, but i'm just myself, and if people like it, that's a good thing. at the end of the day, i want to make sure that people feel loved and/or cared about.

5. Do you prefer the single life or the security of a relationship?
i'm ok either way, but i prefer that it be one way or the other. let me explain. i don't like being in a relationship and still feeling like i'm single and i really don't like "officially" being single, but doing things that makes it feel like i'm actually in a relationship.


6. What would your super power be?
why does this question (or one like it) come up so often? i don't have time to think about this kinda thing. i really don't know what mine would be.

my latop case has my company's name on it, and some of the letters are white.

2. Would you say you're innocent?
for the most part, yes. key word: most. you might be surprised at what this good girl knows. ;-)

3. Always try to keep the peace?
you know, i like to let things just happen as they may. i don't start shit and i won't let someone rage forever, but people just need to get their feelings out. also, when i'm not directly involved in an argument, i kinda like to watch it play out. people are very interesting to watch. the only times i don't like it are when my family members are arguing. it makes me nervous for some reason.

4. How do you imagine your wedding?
i try not to think about it too much, just in case i don't ever get married or it doesn't go as planned. i want it to be intimate and very classy. i don't see myself with a huge cake or mile long train, but i will say i want to spend a lot of money on the wedding. not because i want to flaunt things in people's faces, but i imagine the ceremony as a celebration with my friends and family and i want something that's gorgeous and not done on the fly. i'm usually pretty conservative with money and i really don't mind the wedding being a major expense. i also see it combining a little of the traditional with a few things that are specifc to us as a couple. now, what those things are, i'm not sure.


5. Do you like to play in the snow?
no, not really. i might get out there for like 30 minutes and then it's a wrap. my feet and hands get cold easily (as i suppose it the case for most people), and once they get cold, my whole body is cold. that's not cool...

6. Are you afraid of going to the doctors or dentist?
i think i'm also afraid the doctor will tell me something bad. i don't know why because i've never heard anything like that at the doctor's. as for the dentist, after my root canal, i'm a little scared about going. one bad experience can ruin it for you...

7. Do you have Attention Deficit Disorder?
no, but i do have a hard time doing just one thing. i get bored very easily. i think that's one of the best (and sometimes worst) parts of my jobs: i always have multiple projects going on, so i don't get bored too easily.

2. Ever enjoy hurting people?
not unless that person has hurt me. and really, it's not that i enjoy hurting the person, but i just want them to be able to feel what i felt. generally, i don't go around exacting revenge. it's too time consuming and the anger i'd feel only eats me up on the inside. also, karma's a bitch. futhermore, you never know what effect one thing can have on that person.

3. Are you sophisticated or silly?
a combo of both. most people get to see the sophisticated side. my family sees the silly more often than not. i'd like to be able to show the silly more often.

4. Would you like to go to space?
nah, not really. i mean, it might be fun, but would i be the first in line to go? probably not...

5. Do you have a lot of secrets?
yeah, i have a few. i've mentioned one or two on the blog, but other than that, i keep it to myself. some of the stuff isn't really worth telling and it probably wouldn't be a big deal to anyone else.
